Dosage form
Off-white tablets for oral administration.
Composition
Bifidobacterium infantis, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Enterococcus faecalis and Bacillus cereus.
Viable count
Per tablet: at least 5 × 10⁵ CFU each of the first three organisms and 5 × 10⁴ CFU of B. cereus.
Indications
Diarrhea, constipation and functional dyspepsia associated with intestinal flora imbalance.
Administration
Three tablets orally, three times daily after meals, with lukewarm water or milk. Dose changes and pediatric use require medical advice. Liquid temperature must not exceed 40°C.
Safety summary
Reported reactions include rash, itching, urticaria, night sweats, fatigue, drowsiness, bloating, abdominal pain, vomiting and loose stools/diarrhea; frequency and causality are uncertain. Contraindications are not established. Certain antibiotics inhibit the organisms. Avoid concomitant bismuth, tannic acid, medicinal charcoal and tinctures. Do not use altered tablets; use promptly after opening.
Storage / shelf life
Store and transport at 2–8°C, protected from light. Shelf life: 24 months.
